Secure Edge support for end-to-end encrypted sensor to cloud protocol

Disruptive Technologies’ ultra small sensors communicate encrypted from sensor to cloud using SDS, but for some use cases the ability to provide sensor data directly on the customers on premises ethernet may be beneficial both from a security and a reliability perspective. The main objective of the assignment is to enable on-prem without compromising security or user friendliness.

The assignment may involve:

  • requirements gathering
  • usability studies of users interactions with the system
  • customer interviews
  • threat and risk modelling

protocol design

Plan proof of concept implementation in master thesis

The candidate will be given access to Disruptive Technologies current protocol stack and experienced supervisors. The SDS protocol uses elliptic key cryptography and is optimized for ultra low power devices.

Feel free to make direct contact with the Disruptive Technologies external supervisor under it this sounds interesting.
